ABOUT ME!

My name is Radicis Black (Charles James Chatman), and I am dedicated to providing practical resources that empower legal practitioners to work with clarity and confidence.

The name Radicis comes from the Latin word radix, meaning “root” or “foundation.” For me, it reflects my approach: going to the very root of legal practice to provide tools that are fundamental, thorough, and transformative. Just as strong roots give rise to lasting growth, a strong foundation in drafting gives rise to credibility, efficiency, and success in the courtroom.

Over the years, I have seen how poorly drafted judicial notes and declarations can affect legal proceedings. This experience inspired me to create practical guides and eBooks that go beyond theory and deliver solutions that legal professionals can apply immediately. My focus is on simplifying complex processes, saving time, and reducing errors, while helping practitioners uphold the highest professional standards.

Beyond writing, I am passionate about innovation in legal education—building resources that make the law more accessible and actionable. My mission is to support lawyers, judicial clerks, and students by giving them practical tools that strengthen their skills and elevate their practice.

This platform is the continuation of that mission: a growing library of eBooks, templates, and resources designed for today’s legal professional.
